Yu Kitchen, associated with, and located above Calia, is not your cheap and cheerful Chinese .. definitely not, it’s a classy restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre. The stairs that take you up to Yu Kitchen are at the entrance of Calia and the impression of opulence prevails. Once inside the restaurant, your eye is immediately drawn to thousands of tiny wooden balls adorning the ceiling, resembling lights, however referred to as their Abacus ceiling. We were presented with a yum cha menu and a pen and duly chose dishes that appealed from an interesting selection. You are not restricted to yum cha at lunch service, you can also order from their à la carte menu. Service was friendly, efficient, very professional and the food refined and impressive.
