Yu Kitchen, associated with, and located above Calia, is not your cheap and cheerful Chinese .. definitely not, it’s a classy restaurant at Chadstone Shopping Centre. Once inside the restaurant, your eye is drawn to thousands of tiny wooden balls adorning the ceiling, almost resembling lights, however, referred to as their Abacus ceiling. Without question, this restaurant aspires to present high-end Chinese cuisine. Whilst the food is impressive, unfortunately, the floor service is off-hand and unfriendly. To quote famous Italian Chef, Massimo Bottura ‘ The wait staff are more than 50% of the experience.’
