It was extremely disappointing to arrive at our annual ‘go to’ place celebrating birthdays to find the tasting menu is no longer available for lunch service. Okay, what about à la carte? No, not an option either, only a menu presenting a choice of two entrées, two mains and no choice of dessert.
It’s a pity information on their website didn’t reflect this adequately as we certainly would have booked elsewhere. Food was fine, beef melted in your mouth however potato dry and unpleasant also we felt service, on the day, was not up to their usual high standard. A shame really as we used to look forward to, and really enjoy, our Woodland House dining experience. PERMANENTLY CLOSED
