This place has undergone yet another transformation, this time to an Italian Cucina and Bar. First impressions are good of Via Campanella, situated in the heart of the Elsternwick shopping strip. The restaurant has a nice ambience and the decor makes it feel like a cosy Italian trattoria. We thoroughly enjoyed our choice of dishes and will definitely be returning to try more from their extensive menu. …
Okay ….. Another visit to Via Campanella to try more of their menu. Glad we had made a booking (Tuesday night) as it was full to overflowing which of course didn’t help the noise level!
My previous visit was for lunch and I must say that would be my preference in the future as the standard of the meal I chose, Veal Scaloppini was totally different to the first time I ate it there. It was quite disappointing and at $38 for a relatively simple dish to prepare and present it should be perfect.
