We hadn’t been to the McKinnon Hotel for a long time, for no particular reason, and were pleasantly surprised at the change since our last visit. Modern, open-plan interior and the food was really good. We lucked it for a ‘Royal Birthday Week’ lunch special of freshly shucked oysters for $1 each! Two dozen washed down with a lovely Beechworth rosé! Perfect …. and so too was the rest of our meal. We will definitely be returning, and soon!
