I needed a ramen fix, so a return visit to Hakata Gensuke in Hawthorn was in order. Customised ramen in a modern, industrial setting accompanied by friendly and speedy service. I had my favourite, Black Tonkotsu Ramen with fried garlic and black sesame paste. The Gensuke Tonkotsu (pork bone) broth is certainly full bodied and has loads of flavour.
